Mourinho slammed for his Instagram post after Royal Antwerp defeat
Spurs manager Jose Mourinho responded to Tottenham’s defeat against Royal Antwerp by making a post on Instagram.
Spurs saw their run of 10 games unbeaten run end when they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Royal Antwerp in the Europa League on Thursday. The manager made nine changes to the side won 1-0 against Burnley in the Premier League.
Mourinho’s frustration in the match was evident when he made 4 changes in the half time.
The manager responded to the “bad performances” by making an Instagram post with the caption: “Bad perfomances deserve bad results. Hope everyone in this bus is as upset as I am. Tomorow 11 AM training.”
Speaking in the BT Sports Studio, Martin Keown was critical of Mourinho’s behavior, which he considered to be unhealthy.
“I don’t think my respect grows for the manager,” Keown said. “Some of those players would have felt wounded at half-time, the players who came on were hardly any better. Is this how we’re going to communicate?
“If you want to talk to me, talk to my face. After the draw against West Ham, we’re hearing he didn’t speak to the players for four or five days but spoke in the public. Keep it in house. It’s a bit childish. Keep it in the dressing room, I’m not sure that’s healthy.”
